Chicago Dinner for Children of the Severely Injured

October 30

The Marine Corps Scholarship Dinner is the signature Marine event in the Windy City established to benefit the Foundation’s expanded commitment to educate every child of severely injured Marines and Navy Corpsmen with educational opportunities that otherwise would not exist.

This year, we will honor Craig J. Duchossois, Chief Executive Officer, The Duchossois Group, Inc., with the Semper Fidelis Award.  General Peter Pace, USMC (Ret.), 16th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, will present the award.

Chicago Dinner Sponsorship Levels

The Chicago Committee’s goal is to raise $30 million to ensure that every child of a severely injured Marine or Navy Corpsman has the opportunity to pursue his/her education. By providing $30,000 in scholarship funding, we hope to alleviate some of the financial pressure these families face when considering higher education or career technical education for their children. Over the next 20 years, there will be over 1,000 children who qualify for this program – today many are just toddlers. We have a long way to go in meeting that need. To date, with the support of the Chicago community, the Chicago Dinner has raised nearly $9 million of the $30 million we require.
