Honoring His Father’s Legacy

Joshua will never forget the brave sacrifices his father has made – not just for this Nation but also for their family.

Joshua’s father has been deployed six times, four of which were combat deployments. While his father was gone, Joshua rose to the occasion. Not only did he help raise his little brother, he also provided crucial support to his mother as they moved across countless duty stations, attending 10 different schools before he reached high school.

Because of your generous support of the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, Joshua will be able to transfer to UCLA and pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a doctor. Inspired by the self-sacrificing career of his Marine father, Joshua hopes to make a similarly meaningful impact in people’s lives through a career in medicine.

“Being exposed to the Marine Corps my entire life, I have always been surrounded by selfless people who go out of their way to help others,” Joshua says. “I appreciate all the opportunities that this scholarship has opened for me. Thank you for helping me chase my passion and pursue my dreams.”
