The Atlanta Scarlet & Gold Committee is pleased to announce that its Honorary Co-Chairmen for its second annual and the Scholarship Foundation's 50th Anniversary Gala, are General Charles Wilhelm USMC(Ret.) and legendary University of Georgia Head Coach and former Athletic Director Mr. Vince Dooley.
Coach Dooley, as guests at last year’s inaugural Wine & Chef Gala learned, is a former Marine Officer who served on active duty and in the Reserve for 8 years. At that time Saturday drills complicated his full time job in Athens, GA which required Saturday work!
This year, A Night Out in Atlanta will feature a sit-down four course prime-rib dinner, both live and silent auctions, and fabulous prizes built around a very unique Marine Corps jargon trivia contest. It will be held Sunday October 21, 2012 at The Georgian Club in Marietta.
