Leadership

Burrell H. Landes Jr. (CO)

Burrell Landes enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corps and rose from private to corporal and second lieutenant to colonel before retiring to enter the business world. His Marine Corps assignments included command of combat units in Viet Nam; duty as an assistant professor and coach at the United States Naval Academy; head of operations and training at Parris Island, SC; and numerous other command and staff assignments throughout Europe, Asia and the United States. His combat decorations include the Silver Star Medal and two Bronze Star Medals with combat V’s. In 1985, Burrell joined Pansophic Systems, Inc. of Oakbrook, IL as a high tech software salesman, and in 1987 was promoted to Regional Manager of both the Dallas, TX and Denver, CO offices, with geographic sales responsibility for 40% of the U. S. After returning the region to quota plus achievement, he left Pansophic in late 1991. In early 1992, he was hired as Vice President of Sales for Englewood, CO based Customer Insight Company and led the sales turnaround of that software organization. He then participated in the sale of the company before leaving in 1996 to start his own high tech sales leadership consulting and training firm, BHL Associates, LLC, an active and highly successful venture that accepts business only on referral from clients and associates. Burrell holds an MS in Administration (Systems Management). He and his wife, Sharon, have three children and five grandchildren.
