Development Officer - East Coast

The Development Officer will embrace the Scholarship Foundation’s mission and priorities by formulating strategies and identifying funding sources, initiating contact, cultivating prospects, soliciting and closing new, increased, and renewal gifts, and also stewarding and cultivating major and leadership gift relationships. This position involves working in partnership with development and event colleagues and volunteers and serves as an integral part of our team.

The right candidate will have a proven track record of solid performance and experience developing relationships, generating contribution/sales revenue through donor/customer donation/sales process. Applicants must be driven to succeed, passionate about this mission, excellent listeners, effective communicators, artful relationship developers, self-reliant, and able to work independently. Additionally, applicants should have superior interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels; outstanding verbal and written communication skills; and the ability to work collaboratively and make an impact in a fast-paced, team-oriented, accountable environment. Individuals applying to the position must be able to travel (up to 30-40% of the time) and work outside normal working hours.

Heroes Tribute Coordinator

The Heroes Tribute Coordinator supports the mission and goals of the organization by identifying, locating, and communicating scholarship opportunities for Marines and their families through outreach efforts including email/phone correspondence, Scholarship Foundation events/ceremonies, and other activities. Additionally, the Coordinator will build relationships with other organizations that support wounded and fallen Marines and their families in an effort to publicize our scholarship programs. The position requires the ability to connect with Marines and their families on a personal level, represent the organization in a professional manner and build networks, handle several projects simultaneously, and anticipate and solve problems.

This position requires occasional travel including some weekend travel.

Communications Manager

The Scholarship Foundation is actively seeking a communications professional to join their small but dynamic Communications and Investor Services Department. This individual plays a critical role in supporting the mission and objectives of the Scholarship Foundation by developing and executing strategic, integrated communications plans focused on engaging key constituents and driving revenue growth. The position is responsible for development and dissemination of key communications projects, and acts as a liaison with other internal departments to ensure the Communications team is fully supporting departmental and organization-wide goals and strategic objectives. Additionally, this individual ensures communications efforts drive engagement for internal and external audiences, and consistently and effectively articulate the mission of the Scholarship Foundation.

This position is located in Alexandria, VA and requires occasional travel including some weekend travel.
