Katherine C. McCallum (NY)
Katherine has served on the Scholarship Foundation's New York Leatherneck Ball Committee for more than five years. She grew up in Lawrence, Long Island and was educated at the Lawrence School in Hewlett, New York, Miss Porter's School in Farmington, Connecticut, and the New York School of Interior Design. She worked as a photographic fashion model from 1964-1967 when she married actor David McCallum. They have two married children and five grandsons and live in New York City. Katherine has worked as an interior designer for thirty years at the firm McMillen, Inc. where she is vice president. Her father, Captain Edward (Tim) Carpenter, and her brother, Corporal George Whitney Carpenter, both served as United States Marines. Tim fought in the Pacific in WWII at Iwo Jima and other battles. Her beloved brother George was killed at DaNang in Vietnam in February of 1967.
