The Scholarship Foundation is an independent, non-profit 501(c)3 organization. It is not a government agency nor is it directly affiliated with the U.S. Marine Corps. For a copy of our IRS tax determination letter, please click here

The Scholarship Foundation does not receive any government funding.  We rely on donations from individuals and corporations, as well as fundraising events.

Yes. The Scholarship Foundation welcomes donations at any level according to the organization’s charitable gift acceptance policies. Please click here to make a contribution today.

Yes. Permanently endowed and annual named scholarships are available to memorialize or honor a loved one. The minimum donation to establish a one-time scholarship is $2,500. A minimum contribution of $100,000 is required to permanently endow a scholarship.

Yes. Several corporations have established scholarships in their names. Endowed funds are maintained according to the Scholarship Foundation’s board-approved endowment management and spending policy.

The Scholarship Foundation’s Heroes Tribute program provides up to $30,000 over four years to every child of a Marine, or Navy Corpsman serving with the Marines, whose parent has been killed in combat since September 11, 2001.

Like the Scholarship Foundation, the Post 9/11 GI Bill recognizes that the best way to honor men and women in uniform is to provide their children with opportunities for post-high school educations. While the Post-9/11 GI Bill provides generous benefits, there are still eligibility restrictions that leave tens of thousands of children without funding opportunities. The Scholarship Foundation bridges those eligibility gaps so that Marine Corps sons and daughters can pursue post-high school education uncompromised.
